Healthy Cooking For Healthy Teeth

A good set of teeth is an asset. It reflects our hygiene and character. That is why it is significant to always have and choose healthier choices. You might think that healthy food, cooking and diet is for your body only not really focusing on the teeth especially that there will always be a dentist or an ortodontist franklin tn who can fix our dental problems.

What should be the way of preparing food that will benefit not just the body but also the oral health?

We all love fried food and we will always back it up by drinking lots of water and detoxing with a lot of fruit juices. Frying means using a large amount of oil and oil is obviously not helpful to our body as well as to our teeth. The alternatives that we can have are baking, air-frying, poaching, and boiling. There will be a difference when it comes to the texture of the food. But the benefits and advantages it can give to us and to our teeth is amazing.

Another thing that we should avoid but also hard to eliminate is sugar. We crave for dessert and we will always have the sweet ones. When we cook, we always have sugar to enhance the taste of what we are cooking. Everything actually includes sugar. To at least lessen the intake, for example, you want to eat some ice cream but are already conscious of its effect to your teeth, you may want to consider making your own soft serve. Besides, it is easy with a machine or even just a whipper. It will always be about the extra effort you will give to also have extraordinary results.

The tips are not to actually deprive you of the comfort food you can think of. It is actually to make us aware that almost everything that we eat especially the cooked and processed ones do have negative effects  on our teeth.
